Location: WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY - BELLINGHAM
Job SummaryPrepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications- 1+ years of experience in a similar culinary and/or prep role.
- Competency in standard knife skills for efficient batch prep.
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety practices.
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals to ensure quality.
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as required.
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
- Serve customers efficiently and friendly manner.
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Resolve customer concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
