About the Role

We are hiring for one of our clients, a globally recognized leader in the home furnishings retail industry with a legacy spanning several decades. Due to continued growth and store expansion, the organization is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to enhance in-store presentation and elevate the customer shopping experience.

This role plays a critical part in creating visually engaging environments that attract, inspire, and retain customers.

Role Purpose

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for designing compelling store displays, layouts, and balanced audio/visual elements. Working closely with Visual Leadership, this role uses creativity and merchandising expertise to present products in a way that enhances brand appeal and drives sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement visual merchandising strategies aligned with sales, volume, and financial objectives
• Execute visually appealing store displays, furniture layouts, lighting, and accessory placements
• Transition seasonal merchandise and maintain updated floor presentations
• Regularly remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale areas, and featured spaces to maximize sell-through
• Execute floor moves and layout updates while communicating sold items to Visual Leadership
• Complete store recovery processes throughout the day
• Maintain store interior and exterior appearance in coordination with warehouse and housekeeping teams
• Initiate maintenance and repair of lighting, fixtures, flooring, paint, and other visual elements with store management
• Receive, unpack, tag, and place accessory merchandise and product shipments
• Participate in bi-annual inventory processes
• Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards and corporate bulletins
• Maintain audio and visual standards such as store music, signage height, and presentation consistency
• Develop strong knowledge of products, promotions, and store operations
• Stay current with fashion, design, and visual merchandising trends
• Mentor and guide store associates on merchandising fundamentals
• Collaborate closely with store leadership on visual needs, incoming products, and point-of-sale materials
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail visual merchandising experience, preferably in home furnishings
• Associate degree in Interior Design, Merchandising, or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong creative, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Work Authorization

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to transport loads up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 per hour
