Backroom Stocker & Customer Experience Associate

Compensation & Shift

New full-time or part-time position. Salary ranges from $19.50 to $32.50 per hour.
* Shift may start between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Stocking associates are focused on unloading trucks and stocking new freight. They spend the majority of their time in the backroom. Stocking associates must be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts may also be necessary.

You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer interacts with. That's why it's so important to smile, greet, and thank every customer. You are an ambassador of Walmart. The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. There are times when you must juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping customers: scanning items, explaining price, bag items, counting cash back, and keeping your area clean.

• Stand for long periods while checking out customers quickly and accurately
• Keep your area clean and presentable
• Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
• Be available to assist associates across the store as needed

• Ensure customers have a great first and last impression
• Gather carts from the parking lot
• Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
• Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed
• Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions
