Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Professional Sales Representative at La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries in Bellingham, WA. Drive high‑value sales, build lasting customer relationships, and earn an uncapped commission structure on top of a competitive base pay.
Key Responsibilities- Guide premium‑end clients through a tailored sales experience, highlighting La‑Z‑Boy’s luxury furnishings and design services.
- Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services, and by maximizing store promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve established sales goals, including scheduling professional home consultations and presenting customized room designs.
- Consistently execute La‑Z‑Boy’s selling process—approach, rapport building, needs discovery, portfolio presentation, objection handling, closing, and follow‑up.
- Maintain product knowledge of existing and new lines, and support design‑related functions in-store.
- Utilize Podium and other systems to ensure customer satisfaction, record keeping, and timely delivery scheduling.
- Provide high‑level customer service, respond to inquiries, resolve complaints, and create a positive experience for all customers.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling skills.
- Maintain store visual appearance, including displays, tagging, and cleanliness, and support floor moves and general maintenance.
- Complete daily logs, orders, deposits, and fee collections accurately.
- Operate opening and closing procedures and manage inventory as required.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous sales, especially luxury retail, and strong closing skills.
- Excellent communication, customer‑service, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage time, handle conflicting priorities, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive hand motions.
- Background and drug‑screen clearance required.
- Training Pay: $20.00/hr for 2‑6 weeks (no commission).
- Post‑training:
Base pay $13.50/hr + uncapped commission (1‑6% on monthly sales, increasing with performance). - Health insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield &Optum), prescription coverage, in‑network dental & vision.
