Position OverviewOutside Sales Representative in Bellingham, Washington, responsible for sales in the surrounding area. This role reports to the Branch Manager and leads sales efforts, fostering client connections and driving revenue growth.
Anticipated salary: $60,000 – $100,000 per year (base + commissions).

The Outside Sales Representative promotes and expands the company's market presence by implementing strategic sales initiatives with a strong focus on customer value creation. The role meets customer expectations, builds lasting relationships, drives sales growth, identifies new opportunities, and achieves revenue targets.
Essential Functions- Embody ARG Industrial's core values of authenticity, ownership, helpfulness, collaboration, elevation, evolution, and grit.
- Manage a designated territory with existing and potential customers to maximize market share for hoses, fittings, and associated products.
- Identify growth prospects, craft presentations and proposals that address value drivers.
- Maximize opportunity discovery through appointments and cold calls.
- Transfer orders and quotes for immediate processing by Inside Sales.
- Coordinate hand‑off to the Field Support Specialist when applicable.
- Identify potential web users.
- Champion customer interests while driving operational improvements essential for growth.
- Maintain strong relationships, understand needs and deliver exceptional service.
- Provide on‑site expertise, solve problems, and make product recommendations.
- Collaborate with the internal team for prompt resolution of inquiries and issues.
- Provide accurate sales reports, forecasts and market feedback.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel within the territory to meet with clients and attend events.
- Drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Physical fitness required for extended periods on feet and walking.
- Occasional physical activity visiting customer locations.
- Operate computer systems and standard office equipment.
- Lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds.
- Work in quiet to moderately noisy warehouse and industrial environments.
- Pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and proactive problem‑solving.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient with CRM software and other sales tools.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop professionally.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or a related discipline preferred; relevant experience may substitute on a year‑by‑year basis.
Experience3+ years of proven outside sales experience, with a demonstrated record of building and maintaining customer relationships and exceeding sales goals.
