As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Bellingham, WA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and customer needs with clear communication. You will document activity, support incident reporting, and work closely with site leaders and local responders.

- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Carry an approved firearm and related equipment in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies; complete required checks and documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services, and coordinating with on-site management as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and ATM vestibules, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and high-value areas, observe and report unusual activity, and complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns.
- Have 1 plus years law enforcement experience or 2 plus years security supervisor or manager experience or 3 plus years security experience.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
