About the Role: Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Technician at Penske, you'll do preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities- Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires, lubricating and replacing vehicle components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills using Penske's technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to solve problems and use tools confidently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management
- Ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies; correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
- Regulated by the Department of Transportation; requires a current driver qualification file, MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History records, and for CDL holders DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel for training
- Ability to work in constant state of alertness and maintain safety of self and others
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls on a routine basis
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work safely in all weather conditions
- See and hear to navigate the work environment safely
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg); ability to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds
Pay: $26.50 per hour
Shift Differentials:
- Second shift (start after 11:00 a.m.) eligible for $3.00 per hour shift differential
- Third shift (start after 9:00 p.m.) eligible for $4.00 per hour shift differential
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
