Head Master Gardener

Part Time Handyman 2026 | Maintenance Person WITH FUTURE LIVE IN POTENTIAL

The position starts as part-time, about 15 hours a week. You will spend this time training and working alongside our experienced maintenance and garden team, as well as the rest of our staff. This job is designed to become a valued, long‑term live‑on‑site opportunity, with comfortable housing provided.

• Hands‑on, proactive maintenance and small repair work.
• General repairs, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, seasonal projects, and assistance with events.
• Sub‑tasks include small plumbing, electrical repairs, masonry touch‑ups, lifting, painting, and general fix‑it work; event set‑up, moving furniture, cleaning, and assistance on large building projects.

• Strong references, a clean background, and a positive attitude.
• Professional, respectful, reliable, discreet, communicative, and easy to work with.
• Interest in historic buildings and preservation.

We offer hourly pay to start, with the possibility of housing and more responsibility in the future. Over time, this job can grow into a full‑time, live‑on‑site property manager or caretaker role, with your own private residence.

Schedule:

April‑October, Monday‑Friday. Long‑ongoing search for a mature, experienced gardener with a depth of plant and garden design knowledge.

• Work in all‑weather landscape care, planting garden beds, heavy lifting, and attention to detail.
• Manage and lead a small team and work kindly with all.
