What You’ll DoAs a Shop Mechanic you will work on all makes and models of agricultural equipment, ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time. Your duties include:
- Diagnosing and analyzing equipment malfunctions or failures.
- Repairing, replacing, or rebuilding engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components (pump motors, valves, etc.), electrical systems, and air systems.
- Assisting with pre‑delivery setup and installation on all models of John Deere equipment and allied products.
- Collaborating with other trained mechanics in a shop equipped with the resources needed to perform top‑notch work.
- 2+ years of working knowledge of small engines and agricultural equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems.
- A team‑oriented personality with focus and drive to work independently.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self‑motivation and assertiveness.
- Must provide own tools.
Compensation: $25–$38 per hour (depending on experience)
