The Air Dryer Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air drying systems used in Telecom Central Offices. This role involves ensuring the efficient and safe operation of air‑drying equipment to maintain optimal air quality and prevent equipment malfunction or breakdown.

Key Responsibilities

Install new air‑drying systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure the continued functionality of air‑drying equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air‑drying systems, including identifying faulty components and implementing solutions to resolve problems.

Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts of air‑drying equipment to restore functionality and prevent downtime.

Calibrate air‑drying systems to ensure accurate operation and adherence to performance standards.

Conduct performance tests and inspections to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of air‑drying systems.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance to track equipment history and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries during installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.

Provide training and guidance to other technicians or operators on the proper operation and maintenance of air‑drying equipment.

Interact with customers to address inquiries, provide technical support, and ensure satisfaction with air‑drying services.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with specific expertise in air‑drying technology.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Thoroughness in performing maintenance tasks and conducting inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Clear and concise communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and suppliers.

Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.

Relevant certifications or licenses may be required, such as HVAC certification or specialized training in air‑drying systems (a plus).

Must be available 24‑hour 7 days a week for on‑site emergency repair.

Training will be available.

Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.

Must be willing to travel to several locations within the Pacific Northwest.
