Whatcom Creek Salmon Habitat Restoration — Volunteer

Celebrate the start of the Parks Volunteer Program’s fall work party season with us and the Kiwanis Club as we work to restore salmon habitat in Whatcom Creek and clean up this well-loved trail corridor behind City Hall.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Participants under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Tools, gloves, and instructions are provided. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Additional information will be emailed to registered participants. Register early, as space is limited! If you sign up, please show up!

After completing the required waiver (adult or youth), please click "Sign Up" to complete your registration for the event! Completing the waiver does not automatically sign you up.

If you are bringing additional volunteers or family members, please sign up as a team or have them join the site, sign the waiver, and then sign up individually. Here are some guides:

If bringing youth under age 18 and facing issues with the waiver or not wanting to create a separate account, you can also sign a paper youth waiver at check-in on the day of the work party. Just be sure to reserve spots on your team for them.

Inclement Weather Plan: Work parties are held rain or shine. Please come prepared with rain gear, layers, and sun protection. If necessary, we will cancel the work party due to unsafe weather conditions such as high winds or heavy snow. We will notify registered participants via email of any changes or cancellations.
