Software Development Tester

Job Overview

We are searching for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Software Tester to join our team in Washington. As a Software Tester you will be responsible for testing and evaluating software applications and systems to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This is a contract position with a salary of $900 per month, accommodation provided, and free visa and ticket for Malayalees or Filipinos.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality.
• Identify defects and document them thoroughly in bug tracking tools.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
• Perform manual testing as well as automated testing using appropriate tools.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on potential usability issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies.

• Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and scripts.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• English language proficiency is not required for this position.
• Preference will be given to Malayalees or Filipinos.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• ISTQB certification.
