About

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team in Bellingham and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a concrete mixer truck to transport ready-mix concrete to various job sites, serving both homeowners and industry clients. Your strong driving skills, commitment to safety, and customer-focused approach will be key in ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

As a customer-facing representative, you will play an essential role in building relationships and providing outstanding service to ensure a high-quality delivery experience for our customers.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Safely operate a mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites.
  • Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers, ensuring consistent and reliable service.
  • Provide a positive and hassle-free delivery experience for customers.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including time logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other personnel to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts and Saturdays as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We re Looking For

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Education Preferred: Relevant industry training or certification in commercial driving.

Field Of Study Preferred Transportation, Logistics, Or Related Fields.

Required

Work Experience:

Previous experience as a ready-mix truck driver is a plus.

Required Training/

Certifications:

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean FMCSA Clearinghouse record;
Drivers Abstract REQUIRED.

Required Technical Skills Strong understanding of traffic laws, vehicle regulations, and safe driving practices. Ability to operate a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently.

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within Bellingham and surrounding areas to various job sites.

Additional Requirements
  • Navigate the City of Bellingham and surrounding Whatcom County areas to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with Logistics, Operations, and fellow drivers to ensure efficiency.
  • Unload materials at designated locations while following safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while operating the truck.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and regular cleaning of the truck (inside and out).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
