Heavy Haul Truck Driver - (day shift, daily routes, home each day)

Locally owned and operated in Whatcom County, Cowden Brothers Trucking specializes in trucking needs. Our Trucking Division employs Heavy Haul Truck drivers who can operate Mack automatic tractors with 53' 4 axle heavy-haul trailers. These drivers complete 2-3 loads daily, hauling full containers of refuse from various transfer stations to a rail-yard in Seattle then delivering empty cans back to various locations.

Drivers dispatch from Bellingham daily, between 3-6am, and usually return between 12-4pm. Weekly hours are 40-60, and overtime is paid after 40. We have openings coming available soon and interviews will be ongoing until our positions are filled. Driver with dump truck experience preferred as we may have some work bouncing into a dump truck for part of the week.

Serving Northwest Washington since 1945, the Cowden name means commitment to providing quality products and genuine customer care. Top candidates for employment will be safe and courteous, skilled, dependable, enthusiastic, and willing to follow directions. While each route requires different demands, we expect all our drivers to be physically capable of lifting 45 lbs., climbing fixed-ladders, tarping live loads, performing vehicle inspections, and handling adverse weather conditions.
