JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction of the Station Lieutenant, the Firefighter/EMT is assigned tasks involving fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue, hazardous materials incidents, fire prevention, and other special assignments as required. Full Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Texas driver’s license, or obtain within 6 months from the date of hire
• Must be able to complete a physical agility assessment within minimum standards

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Must possess a current EMT-B certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS)
• Must possess a current Basic Fire certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection (TCFP)
• All Fire personnel are expected to engage in and maintain the highest level of training offered. When training opportunities arise, you may be required to attend and obtain applicable certifications.
• Must maintain ALL above certifications from date of hire.
