Position OverviewThe Hospice Support Manager provides operational and clinical leadership for hospice support services, overseeing intake, triage, admissions, float nurse support, liaison, and ancillary staff. This role ensures timely, accurate, patient‑centered care and compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. The manager supports staff, patients, and families, supervises support staff, coordinates care activities, and participates in leadership, staff training, quality improvement initiatives, and the on‑call rotation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee hospice support services including intake, triage, admissions, float nurse, liaison, and ancillary staff.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Participate in staff training, leadership development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain reliable transportation and travel to patient homes, facilities, and community locations.
- Demonstrate support for the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Participate in community outreach, education, and promotion of hospice services.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
- Maintain reliable personal transportation, driver’s license, and insurance.
- Satisfy state and agency health requirements, provide proof of immunization and accommodations.
- Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
- Meet physical and environmental demands of the position.
- Complete agency and departmental orientation and training programs.
- Complete ongoing education, policy reviews, and training.
- Maintain current licensure(s) and certification(s).
- Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
Annual salary range: $86,969.26 – $. New hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.
