Delivery Specialist

Compensation

Pay Range: $14.42 - $20.40. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if the applicable criteria are met.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.
• Secure and protect delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of each business day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and other duties as assigned.
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

• Required:
  
  Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18‑point standard.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company‑mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired:
  Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
