HGV Technician
Location:
Bellshill
Salary: £47,970 + Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern:
Rotating (Monday - Friday)
- Week 1: 06:00 - 15:30
- Week 2: 10:00 - 19:30
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing commercial vehicle operation based in Bellshill. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles, including specialist municipal equipment such as refuse collection vehicles (RCVs). Full specialist training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspection and undertake MOT work
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to a high standard
- Attend breakdowns when required
- Complete all relevant job cards and compliance paperwork
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Engineer
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Experience working on commercial vehicles
- Municipal / refuse vehicle experience (desirable, not essential)
- Class 2 Licence (preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
