United Kingdom Equans is looking for a Mobile Plumber to join our team on the North Lanarkshire Schools contract based from Bellshill, ML4 3NJ
. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

You will be responsible for delivering reactive response, fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance and installation works across a range of school facilities. Working closely with colleagues, customers, suppliers and subcontractors, you will help ensure that all works are completed safely, efficiently, to specification and in line with contractual and legislative requirements.

What will you deliver?

Carry out first-fix reactive response and rectification works, including fault-finding and resolution.

Provide second-fix reactive support, technical advice and assistance to colleagues to resolve outstanding issues.

Contribute to a positive learning and knowledge-sharing culture within the technical team.

Complete planned preventative maintenance works in line with contractual requirements.

Identify and rectify faults while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry guidance and company procedures.

Plan, prioritise and resource workloads to meet customer specifications and agreed service levels.

Install, commission and service plant and equipment.

Diagnose faults, commission systems and monitor facility performance through the PPM programme.

Identify and report additional works or remedial requirements.

Maintain accurate records and complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.

Develop effective working relationships with customers, business partners, suppliers and subcontractors.

Maintain a fair, consistent and courteous approach in all dealings.

Assist other members of the workforce as required.

Attend training in line with business requirements and personal development objectives.

Report all issues to the Technical Services Supervisor or Technical Services Manager.

Work flexibly, including adjusting working hours where operational requirements demand.

Maintain a smart appearance and professional manner representative of Equans.

Take ownership of problems and ensure they are managed through to a satisfactory conclusion.

An approved and formal apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline

Experience in planned preventative maintenance and reactive response work.

A sound understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices.

Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.

The ability to follow plans and method statements.

The ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

A friendly manner and excellent customer service skills.

The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A full UK driving licence.

Good computer skills and the ability to complete electronic records and documentation.

A willingness to undertake further training and professional development.

Due to nature of the contract, successful postholder will be required to obtain and maintain a Disclosure Scotland to PVG level.
