Locate Technicians are responsible for accurately locating underground facilities, including telephone communication lines, electric power lines, cable television lines, gas lines, fiber optic lines, water lines, and sewer lines. They observe, locate, mark, and document underground and exposed utility locations, using multiple methods. The technician may work independently or in a team, and will work under an assigned supervisor.

• Locate underground facilities using transmitters and equipment.
• Work in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Interpret job order tickets, blueprints, and maps.
• Perform regular, overtime, and holiday locates as needed.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, and management.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment.

• Company vehicle, laptop, and smartphone.
• All personal protective equipment provided.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State‑issued driver’s license.
• Problem‑solving ability.
• Read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Pass background screening (no violations within last 5 years).
• Pass DOT drug test.
• Prior experience with vacuum trucks (A+ preferred).
