Finance Officer

JOHNEX explosives is a proudly 100% Australian owned manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, innovative explosives. Our Belmont-based head office is seeking a motivated and detail focused Finance Officer to support the commercial team across a variety of accounting and administrative tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced all-rounder in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or payroll who enjoys a wide variety of tasks.

• Accounts payable – end-to-end function
• Data entry for stock ordering, receipting and monthly stocktakes
• Coding and administration of company credit cards
• Providing back-up support for Payroll
• General administrative and accounts tasks as required

• 5+ years experience in a similar role with a sound understanding of accounting processes
• Strong understanding of accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Demonstrated experience using accounting software (Greentree familiarity an advantage but not essential)
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Previous industry experience is beneficial but not essential
• Police clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
• Ability to pass a medical assessment, drug & alcohol screening
