Candidate Pay Rate:  $45 - $50 per hour

Taxable weekly :  $1620

Non-taxable weekly :  $1883

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate residents' mobility, strength and functional status to build meaningful plans of care

Implement therapeutic interventions and assist with restorative programs that improve quality of life

Document patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record to support team communication

Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists and family members to ensure cohesive resident care

Coach and educate residents and caregivers on safe transfers, home programs and fall prevention

Monitor and report changes in condition to the supervising therapist and clinical team

Assist with adaptive equipment selection and training to enhance independence

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification required (California licensure preferred/required)

BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire

Experience working in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehab settings preferred

Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset

Ability to perform safe patient handling and follow infection control protocols

Education

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of therapeutic exercise, functional mobility and transfer techniques

Comfortable with resident assessment, care planning and progress documentation

Familiarity with assistive devices, gait training and adaptive equipment

Proficient communication skills with residents, families and clinical teams

Basic EMR navigation and accurate charting

Good clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize caseloads
