Belmont Hill Lacrosse

The Belmont Hill Lacrosse program is a perennial contender in the highly competitive Independent School League (ISL), a 16-school conference primarily based in Massachusetts. Boasting a rich history of athletic excellence, the program has secured 15 ISL championship titles—the most of any school since the League's founding in 1989. As a nationally recognized program, Belmont Hill Lacrosse has maintained an extraordinary standard of success, compiling a 171-22 record since 2013.

This run includes an undefeated league season in 2021 and six ISL titles (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2024, and 2025). We are seeking an exceptional leader to build upon this historic legacy while fully embracing the School's core mission of “developing young men of character.”

Position Overview

The Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach will be a full-time position when combined with other substantial school responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for the game and a proven track record of high-level coaching, paired with a desire to be fully immersed in the school community. The Varsity Lacrosse Coach will also model and develop the program’s foundational values of working together with effort, character, and a commitment to excellence on the field and in the classroom.

Coaching Responsibilities

The Varsity Lacrosse Coach will oversee a staff tasked with oversight of all technical, tactical, and strategic aspects of the Varsity Lacrosse Team, ensuring the program remains competitive at both the League and national levels. The coach will partner closely with the Admission Office to identify and yield highly qualified prospective student-athletes and families who align with the School's academic standards and character-based mission.

The Varsity Lacrosse Coach will also be the champion of the program and coordinate with sub-varsity and middle school coaches to ensure a unified vertical system and culture throughout the program. Lastly the Varsity Lacrosse Coach will work together with the College Counseling Office to guide elite student-athletes through the NCAA recruiting landscape, leveraging college networks to help players find the right institutional fit.
