Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a classroom teacher, preferably at the high school level and in a public school setting.
  • Liberal arts background with strong preparation and training in current pedagogy.
  • Bachelor’s degree (required);
    Master’s degree in an education field (preferred).
  • DESE Administrative Certification.
  • DESE Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement (required). Applicants working toward MA DESE licensure are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer competencies.
  • Excellent organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district’s Multiple Pathways initiative, aligned with the district’s strategic plan.
  • Design and expand pathway opportunities that connect academic learning with authentic, real‑world experiences.
  • Coordinate application and implementation of grant opportunities that support this work.
  • Use data to identify emerging trends in postsecondary education, workforce development, and experiential learning to inform pathway design and expansion.
  • Develop and align pathway coursework, capstone experiences, and related curricular offerings to ensure coherence across grade levels.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with higher education institutions, businesses, industry leaders, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, other school districts, and community organizations.
  • Develop opportunities for students to engage in internships, apprenticeships, field work, job shadowing, capstone projects, dual-enrollment courses, service‑learning, and other career‑connected learning experiences.
  • Promote equitable access to pathway opportunities by identifying and addressing barriers for historically underserved student groups.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure students have access to advising, planning, and supports that enable meaningful participation in pathway experiences.
  • Plan for the implementation of pathway programs and experiences across the district.
  • Ensure pathway‑related programs comply with applicable state and federal requirements, grant expectations, and partnership agreements.
  • Manage pathway‑related data collection, reporting, and program evaluation activities.
  • Collaborate with principals, counselors, curriculum leaders, and teachers to develop curriculum for coursework related to pathways.
  • Build relationships with other districts, higher education institutions, workforce development organizations, and career‑connected learning networks.
  • Serve as the district’s lead advocate for Multiple Pathways and career‑connected learning opportunities.
  • Communicate pathway opportunities, student experiences, and program outcomes to students, families, staff, community members, and external partners.
  • Represent the district in local, regional, and state initiatives related to college and career readiness, experiential learning, and innovative pathway development.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (or designee).
