Job Summary

Under the direction of the Research Pharmacist, follows established policies and procedures to perform a variety of advanced technical and clerical support tasks that are vital to the operation of the Research Pharmacy service. Tasks include assisting with all aspects of dispensing, compounding, labeling, storage, recording, and proper use of pharmaceutical preparations for research subjects.

Summary:

Requires an active MA Pharmacy Technician License and CPhT (PTCB) certification
, with 3–5 years of Pharmacy Technician experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Research/investigational drug study experience and sterile/non-sterile compounding experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy information systems required. Solid knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, drug handling, calculations, and inventory systems expected.

Day shift schedule (weekdays only, no weekends or holidays).

Key Responsibilities

Manages research pharmacy workflows by preparing and dispensing investigational medications, maintaining accurate documentation and drug accountability, coordinating inventory and regulatory compliance activities, supporting study teams and sponsor interactions, monitoring environmental controls, and ensuring efficient, compliant daily operations within the Research Pharmacy.
