At Belmont Day School, we foster intellectual curiosity, honor differences, and empower meaningful contribution with excellence, respect, honesty, responsibility, caring, and joy.

Associate Director Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement

The director of annual giving and alumni engagement is a frontline fundraiser responsible for the strategy, implementation, and growth of Belmont Day School’s comprehensive annual fund program and alumni engagement efforts. Reporting to the director of development, the associate director will develop and execute data-informed strategies that increase philanthropic support, donor participation, retention, and engagement across the school’s constituencies.

This is a pivotal moment in Belmont Day’s history as the school prepares to celebrate its centennial and host celebrations that will honor the school’s past, engage the community today, and inspire investment in its future. As Belmont Day continues a campaign to strengthen its endowment and support long-term institutional priorities, the assistant director will play an important role in building a strong culture of philanthropy and deepening connections with current families, parents of alumni, alumni, grandparents, and friends of the school.

The associate director of annual giving and alumni engagement will manage a portfolio of prospects; cultivate, solicit, and steward donors; lead multichannel annual fund campaigns; and engage volunteers as philanthropic ambassadors. A meaningful portion of the role will focus on alumni and parents of alumni engagement, including creating opportunities for alumni to reconnect with Belmont Day, participate in centennial activities, support the annual fund, and remain connected to the school’s mission and community.

Working collaboratively with the director of development, development operations, communications, school leadership, volunteers, and community partners, the assistant director will help grow sustainable philanthropic support, strengthen alumni and constituent engagement, and build a pipeline of support for Belmont Day’s mission, endowment, and future.

This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt, and benefit-eligible position that reports to the director of development.
