Position SummaryThe Tree Care Manager coordinates and directs sales and works in a manner consistent with company standards and contractual obligations.

- In charge of the management of Tree Care Sales and responsible for direct reports.
- Works well with others in a team environment and is helpful and courteous to customers.
- Attends homeowners’ meetings when necessary.
- Recruits, interviews, and evaluates potential employees.
- Directs, counsels, and evaluates direct reports.
- Possess and maintain a company planner.
- The Tree Care Manager must set forth by example, the highest standard of commitment and dedication.
- Ensures quality processes and results based on specifications, contract agreements, customer budgets, expectations, and company profitability.
- Attends pre-bid meetings when appropriate.
- Responsible for bid presentation and sales.
- Prepare estimates, collect production data, and sales presentations, and negotiate and renew contracts.
- Responsible for keeping track of all prospects in the territory, keeping regular contact with all prospects, and identifying new prospects. Prospects include anyone who can directly or indirectly influence, refer, or make decisions regarding tree care.
- Responsible for making and keeping regular appointments with prospects and accounts. The purpose of an appointment is to sell new business and services or to renew existing
- Responsible for pre-qualifying all potential customers before the sales process begins. Information was obtained using established company sales interview techniques.
- All prospect, account, and territory assignments are at the discretion of the company. All records and reports are the property of the company and will be surrendered upon reassignment or termination.
- Create and maintain an ongoing prospecting and lead generation system
- The district’s primary and lead person during the presentation of the company proposal for Tree Care Services.
- Complies with all established company policies and procedures.
- Will be provided through the course of work, confidential and proprietary information. To ensure the protection of this information, will be required to agree and sign a nondisclosure, noncompetition agreement.
- As a salaried exempt employee, may be required to work after hours or on weekends to accomplish goals.
- Plans with the Branch Manager for goals and objectives for the area's upcoming year. Determine personnel needs for projected growth and expansion.
Skills Required:
- Must hold and maintain Certified Arborist License.
- Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and managers.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
- Must be competent in basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint Project Manager.
- Able to stand, or sit using office equipment, such as a computer terminal, photocopier, fax machine, and multi-extension telephone occasionally.
- Vision capabilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus for close vision work using a computer monitor occasionally.
- Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable work-related experience.
