Job Summary16 hour Weekend Days
Availability to work 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Requirements- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Strong report‑writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent customer service and community policing approach.
- Experience handling emotionally charged situations and de‑escalating conflicts.
- Ability to investigate suspicious activity, security incidents, and safety concerns.
- Ability to protect patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
- Experience working in healthcare, security, law enforcement, military, or public safety environments is beneficial.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain:
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- CPI De‑Escalation Training certification
- IAHSS Basic Officer Certification (within first 90 days)
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Basic computer and report‑writing skills
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
- 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security, or related experience
- Fluency in a second language
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to de‑escalate conflicts and manage aggressive behavior
- Critical thinking and sound judgment during emergencies
- Crisis management and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong documentation and incident report writing skills
- Experience interacting with diverse populations
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws as they relate to security operations
- Familiarity with access control systems, radios, databases, and security technology
- Security, law enforcement, military, healthcare, behavioral health, or public safety experience
- Experience working with individuals in crisis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
- The ability to balance security enforcement with compassionate customer service in a hospital environment
