IDEAL Pediatric Hospitalist-Newborn Nursery OPPORTUNITY!
Belmont (Charlotte Metro Region), North Carolina
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Pediatrician, to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10 bed LDRP Level-I Nursery, at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center-Belmont which is scheduled to open beginning of 2025.
About the Practice
- This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year.
- An average daily census of about 5 newborns.
- Pediatric Hospitalist will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home.
- Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care.
The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs/Pediatric Hospitalists with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center
- Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away.
- Belmont Medical Center is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which has non-stop flights to over 180 destinations.
