21st CCLC District Coordinator

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) District Coordinator provides district-level leadership and coordination for Asheville City Schools' federally funded after school and summer learning programs. This position supports program implementation across three elementary school sites by ensuring grant compliance, high-quality programming, data management, staffing, family engagement, and continuous program improvement. The District Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director of Community Partnerships, who serves as the 21st CCLC Program Director.

Specific

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Coordination
  • Coordinate and support implementation of the 21st CCLC after school and summer learning programs across all sites.
  • Collaborate with principals, site coordinators, and district departments to ensure consistent, high-quality programming.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor program quality, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of school-year and summer programming.
  • Grant Compliance & Data Management
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, district, and grant requirements.
  • Enter and maintain accurate student attendance records in the 21DC system.
  • Submit required documentation through the Title I Crate system.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation for grant monitoring, audits, and state reporting.
  • Track attendance, participation, behavior, and academic data to meet grant performance measures and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze program data and recommend strategies to improve program quality and student outcomes.
  • Enrollment & Attendance
  • Monitor enrollment and daily attendance to ensure grant participation goals are met.
  • Partner with school staff to recruit eligible students and improve regular attendance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase student participation and retention.
  • Staffing & Professional Learning
  • Collaborate with principals and site coordinators to develop annual staffing plans.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of after school staff.
  • Support professional development and ongoing training for program staff.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning meetings and provide coaching to support high-quality instruction and youth development practices.
  • Family & Community Engagement
  • Support family engagement events at each site that strengthen connections between home, school, and the after school program.
  • Cultivate partnerships with families, community organizations, and school-day staff.
  • Coordinate community resources and enrichment opportunities that enhance student learning.
  • Fiscal & Operational Support
  • Monitor site budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with approved grant budgets and federal guidelines.
  • Support purchasing, inventory management, and resource allocation.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for both after school and summer program operations.
  • Student Safety & Well-Being
  • Promote safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environments.
  • Support implementation of district safety procedures and emergency preparedness.
  • Coordinate with School Nutrition Services to ensure daily snacks and meals are available in accordance with program requirements.
  • Support positive behavior practices and student well-being across all program sites.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as the primary district liaison between the 21st CCLC program, school administrators, district departments, families, and community partners.
  • Communicate program expectations, updates, and outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts to ensure the success of Asheville City Schools' after school and summer learning programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Physical Requirements:

    Must be physically able to sit, stand, walk, and drive a car. Must be able to lift boxes up to 10 pounds. Physical demand requirements are for Light Work.
