Capital Markets Middle Office Director
Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Director to develop, manage, and lead a Foreign Exchange Operations team supporting the Macro group within Corporate and Investment Banking team within Wells Fargo. In this role, you will:
- Building and managing a best-in-class institutional operations support team that will help the FX business growth objectives, ensuring a client experience that surpasses expectations
- Reviewing the current Foreign Exchange operations structure and make strategic recommendations as needed to align the structure to the evolving needs of the Business
- Assist in establishing a client relationship role that will meet with Asset Managers to review scorecards, build relationships and improving our overall position with the client
- Work with CIB Operations leaders and across other areas to ensure Operations innovation function is transformational, working to reduce costs, reduce manual processes and drive more effective and efficient behaviors and where possible create a standard to repeat with others
- Managing risk and ensuring that processes and procedures are well defined and adhered to leading to a well-controlled risk environment (RCSA)
- Acting as the key point of contact for senior leaders in CIB Business, Operations, Control, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology with outcomes that:
Place Operations in a strong position to execute and deliver results, Connect Operations to other parts of the organization to ensure no duplicated efforts while ensuring a best-in-class standard delivery - Managing the day-to-day transaction activity originated by sales and trading
- Meeting with the Front Office Sales and Trading to establish a client relationship function that will meet with Asset Managers and work to improve the relationships with the intent to drive business
- Manage and motivate a team which strives to be a best-in-class operational unit
- Driving the team to achieve a high level of change through transformational leadership by ensuring strong and timely execution
- Manage through reporting (KRI’s), audit issues and timely remediation
- Handle settlements and related FX investigations
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management experience

- FX Experience
- Prior experience of having participated in industry forums like GFXD a division of the Global Financial Markets Association as well as the FX Operations Managers Working Group in the US
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change – timely execution
- Ability to motivate groups and to quickly gain the trust/confidence of executive leaders
- Ability to positively influence, motivate, and direct diverse teams on a global scale
- Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
- Experience with first line and understanding a complex business with the ability to deliver and execute on innovation, process improvement and improved controls
- Strong working knowledge of Capital Markets businesses with focus on Foreign Exchange, its products and services, and relevant risks and controls of the business
- Demonstrated capability to confidently raise issues, escalate early, and engage in constructive credible challenge independently

Pay Range:
New York Pay Range - $207, base/annual Charlotte Pay Range - $207, base/annual
