Senior AEP Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AEP Data Engineer to lead the technical architecture, data management, and administrative governance of the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). This role focuses on leveraging RTCDP (Real-Time Customer Data Platform), Data Distiller, and complex API integrations to drive enterprise-level marketing technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine deep data engineering expertise with strong platform administration skills to ensure security, scalability, and optimal performance of the AEP environment.

Data Engineering & Integration

• Design and implement data management strategies utilizing AEP RTCDP and Query Services.
• Leverage Data Distiller for advanced data preparation and cross-channel analysis.
• Develop and maintain robust REST APIs and custom API integrations to ensure seamless data flow across the ecosystem.
• Document and optimize data flows, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy standards.

Platform Administration & Security

• Manage user access, permissions, and roles within AEP to maintain high-security standards and resource allocation.
• Oversee system configuration, routine health checks, and performance monitoring to ensure platform availability.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, and system upgrades in collaboration with IT and Security teams.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for AEP administrative support and business user inquiries.

Governance & Documentation

• Maintain detailed documentation of platform configurations, change logs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Proactively perform error logging and reporting to address potential platform issues before they impact business operations.

• Core Expertise:
  Extensive hands-on experience with AEP RTCDP, Query Services, and Data Distiller.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Expert knowledge of REST APIs and custom API integration development.
• Experience:
  
  15+ years in IT, with 5+ years specifically in digital architecture, data engineering, or enterprise Mar Tech solutions.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Engineering.
• Governance:
  Strong knowledge of data privacy, security regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Excellent leadership, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
