Overview

IDEAL NNP OPPORTUNITY! Belmont (Charlotte Metro Region), North Carolina!

Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full‑time neonatal nurse practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10‑bed LDRP Level‑I Nursery, at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center‑Belmont, scheduled to open late 2024.

  • This Level‑1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year.
  • Average daily census of about 5 newborns.
  • NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and will take call from home.
  • Practitioners will stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher‑level care.
  • The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sibling Level‑III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5‑6 NNPs who provide care at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center‑Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away.
  • Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level‑III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; this position is for the Level‑I nursery.

Qualifications
  • Current APRN national specialty certification.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree.
