- Perform daily rounds on newborns in a newly established Level I nursery with approximately 5 infants per day
- Attend deliveries as requested, providing immediate neonatal care
- Stabilize and manage newborns, including facilitating transfers to higher-level NICUs when necessary
- Take call from home to monitor patients and respond to urgent needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality neonatal care
- Contribute to the startup and operational success of a new neonatal unit
- Support transfer and stabilization of critically ill neonates to specialized NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia
- Current NNP Board Certification (no other NP certifications accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional NNP experience (excluding RN experience)
- Strong neonatal assessment and stabilization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work 24-hour shifts including on-call responsibilities
