Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery, at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center-Belmont which is scheduled to open late 2024. This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year and an average daily census of about 5 newborns. NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home.

Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care.

The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away. Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery.

Belmont Medical Center, is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which has non-stop flights to over 180 destinations.
