Part-Time | typically 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend Schedule & Training:
Initial 3 weeks of training/orientation are required. After training, schedules are created in 6-week blocks. Shifts may range from approximately 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. Typical schedule includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend. Some major holiday coverage is required. Must be available to complete the full initial training period without conflicting planned time off.
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic will provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-facing care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, perform clinical testing, document patient information, and provide education and support to promote positive health outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Responsibilities- Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
- Perform routine and advanced patient assessments.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
- Evaluate patient conditions and monitor responses to treatment.
- Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
- Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
- Perform mental health assessments, including depression and mood screenings.
- Accurately document medical histories, medications, allergies, illnesses, surgeries, and family history in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients regarding medication administration, self-care, and disease management.
- Connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources.
- Communicate effective with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. - Attendance:
Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. - Current, active RN license in the state of practice and in good standing.
- At least 1+ year of related healthcare experience.
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings required.
- Experience with:
Phlebotomy, Vaccine administration, Point-of-care testing- required - Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems;
Epic experience preferred. - Current BLS certification with an expiration date at least 30 days beyond the anticipated start date.
