OverviewVinmar Recycling Solutions, a Vinmar International company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in Belmont, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on systems and equipment to ensure continuous operation of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical wiring, controls, and systems, focusing on ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Install new electrical equipment and assist in the commissioning process.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents related to electrical systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to enhance equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory of electrical components.
- Participate in electrical safety audits and inspections.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Electrical Maintenance preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
