Position Summary:
Carolina Fitness Equipment is expanding its Shipping & Receiving Department. The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for everything that comes into Carolina Fitness Equipment, overseeing and coordinating all inbound shipments from start to finish. This role includes managing logistics, optimizing efficiency, and working closely with various departments to ensure every shipment is processed smoothly, accurately, and on time.

Performance Objectives:- Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage
- Schedule and coordinate inbound shipments with carriers
- Accurately document and record received goods via WMS and Netsuite
- Properly pick items received for customer orders via WMS
- Coordinate with the necessary department (ie. Preowned, Purchasing, Service or Operations) to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments and ensure timely processing of shipments
- Provide receiving documentation to necessary departments
- Distribute goods to proper departments as needed
- Coordinate the staging and labeling of incoming goods
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the receiving area
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse duties
- Proven experience in shipping
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Able to work independently
- Strong communication abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with Netsuite is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Google/G‑suite is preferred
- Prior experience in the Fitness Industry is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday;
Saturday availability may be necessary - Forklift certification (but not required)
- GED or some college coursework is preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics preferred
- This role involves working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed, and to stand and walk for extended periods of time
