USD 273-Beloit has an opening for a School Based Liaison to coordinate and perform the duties required as part of the USD 273 Mental Health Initiative Grant. Applicants must have a degree in a mental health field and/or experience working with students in schools. A degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or other related mental health fields is preferred.

Minimum starting salary for B.A.

- $43,375 Minimum starting salary for M.A.

Beloit School District includes the city of Beloit and adjacent rural areas encompassing 565 square miles of North Central Kansas. Beloit has a population of over 4,000 people. The city is located on highways 24, 14 and 9. Beloit is located 15 minutes from Waconda Lake and Glen Elder State Park`s excellent recreational areas.

The Beloit School District offers all-day preschool, all-day kindergarten, special education programs, a comprehensive high school curriculum and an alternative program at the middle school and high school levels.

Beloit Elementary School is a fully accredited educational institution. The staff consists of 40 professionals, along with 2 secretaries, 31 para educators and aides, and 3 custodians. Beloit Junior Senior High School is a fully accredited educational institution offering a comprehensive educational program regardless of a student`s post-secondary plans. Building staff includes 41 professionals, 3 secretaries, 13 para educators and aides, 3 custodians, 1 maintenance worker, and 1 director of buildings and grounds. Average enrollment grades 7-12 is 348, with an average class size of 16 students per teacher.

Beloit School District USD #273 is the host district for the Beloit Special Education Cooperative. The Beloit Special Education Cooperative provides a full continuum of services for students with disabilities in accordance to the Individuals with Disabilities Act 2004 (IDEA-R). The districts the cooperative serves are USD #107 Rock Hills, USD #272 Waconda, USD #273 Beloit, USD #298 Lincoln, and USD #299 Sylvan Grove.
