TITLE: Summer 2026 Hendricks Career Tek Intern

POSITION TYPE: Part-time (~30 hours per week)

DEPARTMENT: Programs

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

AVAILABILITY:

~30 hours/week |

Start Date:

May 25

Typical schedule M-Th 8:00-3:00, F 9:00-12:00

Candidate MUST be 18+ years old, and have their own vehicle that they would be able to use every day

PRIMARY FUNCTION Position is responsible for supporting Career Tek's summer activities and office projects as determined and directed by the Hendricks Career Tek Staff. This role is perfect for a highly organized, hard-working individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience in activity coordination, communication, and youth engagement.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
PROGRAM SUPPORT
1. Assist with the organization and implementation of Summer Academies.
2. Draft and send academy details and reminder emails.
3. Prepare and organize academy supplies.
4. Track and maintain attendance data.

MARKETING & DOCUMENTATION
1. Create newsletters and photobooks showcasing academy activities.
2. Organize and develop academy photo books for participants.
3. Assist with additional office projects as needed.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
1.

Experience with Google Suite & Canva
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Strong writing and grammar skills
4. Passion for working and engaging with students
5. Proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks
6. Strong teamwork and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods.
2. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
3. Indoor and outdoor work environments.
