We are looking for a PM with a well-rounded background in all types of construction projects
, not just retail, apartment buildings, or a single niche. Depending on experience, candidates will be placed on the types and sizes of projects currently on the plate throughout the year.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate a wide variety of construction projects, including building and remodeling of all types of commercial structures.
- Provide management oversight for all phases of construction, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring specifications are followed, and work is proceeding in a quality, timely, and budget-conscious manner.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from award to completion.
- Prepare, assist, and enforce project schedules.
- Maintain open communication with management, owners/tenants, field staff, architects, and engineers.
- Conduct project meetings as necessary to keep the project team up-to-date.
- Procure all permits and interface with governing authorities for inspections and approvals.
- Evaluate cost performance and implement changes when necessary.
- Complete accurate monthly job cost reporting within prescribed timeframe.
- 5-8 years of field experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
- Minimum 6 years experience in blueprint/specification reading and design.
- Experience in estimating and managing self-performed and subcontracted work.
- Proficient in construction project management software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret owner contracts, subcontracts, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations.
- Strong organization, time-management, leadership, conflict & crisis management, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to continue to sell work and secure new projects beyond initial assignments.
- Broad experience across multiple types of construction projects is preferred.
- Location:
Prefer candidates local to Beloit, WI; relocation is not preferred. - Travel:
Some travel to job sites across the U.S. may be required, but not frequently.
