Senior Project Manager (Commercial/Industrial Construction)

I'm partnering with a well-established commercial/industrial general contractor seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee full project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and quality execution
  • Lead pre-construction efforts, bid preparation, and proposal delivery
  • Run project kickoffs, secure permits, and coordinate inspections with governing authorities
  • Ensure subcontractor contracts are executed (target: 90% within 30 days of owner contract)
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams
  • Manage schedules, weekly reporting, cost projections, and invoice approvals
  • Issue and track RFIs, RFPs, and change orders
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure progress, safety, and quality standards are met
  • Resolve project issues proactively and escalate when needed
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers and field teams; support performance management and training
  • Assist with client presentations and help identify new business opportunities

What They're Looking For:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 7-10+ years managing commercial/industrial construction projects
  • Strong experience with drawings, specs, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive performance
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and inspection requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Viewpoint Vista is a plus)
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain), plus additional safety certifications within the first year
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as needed with a valid driver's license
