Field Service Manager
The Field Service Manager supports achievement of business targets for the BTS Group specifically for the Headbox and Former Field Services. The role provides after‑sales service support and management to all customers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Understand and maintain knowledge of Headbox and Former technology.
- Generate quotes and coordinate schedules of field service personnel.
- Create plans to improve service performance by reviewing current performance and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with Agreement Managers to develop long‑term proposals for mill site services and value‑added services to customers.
- Act as the lead interface to Project Management for staffing installations.
- Review completed project results for technical success and profitability.
- Serve as a product technical resource in NA for external and internal customers.
- Stay abreast of competitors’ products and activities.
- Recommend budget and policy improvements.
- Develop and lead a team of service employees to meet agreed service standards.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from a university or technical college.
- Preferred 3–5 years technical experience in a similar position within the paper industry or related industry (or equivalent education and experience).
- Knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of company‑produced equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams; perform arithmetic calculations (fractions, decimals, percentages, metric conversions).
- Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipe fitting, and machining preferred.
- Strong leadership ability to supervise work groups.
- Current passport and valid driver’s license.
Minimum 50% field days, domestic and international travel required with air travel.
