Beloit Health System is looking to add MRI Technologists to our Team!

  • Shift: 1st & 2nd shift combination
  • Schedule: 6:30 am - 9:00 pm (8-hour shifts within this timeframe)
  • Hours per week: 24 & 32 available
  • Benefits Status: Eligible
  • Department: MRI

We are seeking skilled and compassionate MRI Technologists to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is committed to patient safety, technical excellence, and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging services.

  • Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the examination process and addressing concerns.
  • Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and hospital policies.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, education activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with training and mentoring students and new team members as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Registered in MRI within 18 months of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing patient volumes and clinical needs.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Reporting Relationship:
    Director of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologist
