Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a certified law enforcement officer with at least 1 year of experience.

Must be certified by the State of Wisconsin or pass the reciprocity examination within 1 year of hire.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Ability to speak and write English.

40 college credits at application; 60 credits before the end of the 5th year of employment from an accredited institution.

No felony or domestic violence convictions unless pardoned.

Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged.
