Beloit Health System is looking to add a team-orientated and results-driven Team Lead – Business Services to our Insurance & Billing Team!

The Team Lead – Business Services is responsible for supporting efficient business service operations through the consistent monitoring of processes related to pre-billing authorization, billing, cash processing and overall accounts receivable management. They identify and analyze opportunities for improvement, and identify, develop and evaluate employees assigned to their team.
- Plan and coordinate various activities and daily workflows associated with their assigned team, accept and pass down directives received from Department Manager, Director or Administration.
- Establish work schedules, assign duties, provide instructions and ensure team members maintain appropriate workloads.
- Take an active role in setting goals with management, communicating those goals to team and evaluate metrics to ensure that performance measures align with organizational goals
- Participate in recruitment efforts for personnel and provide input as needed to aid in identifying highly qualified candidates
- Assist in developing new-hire materials, provide initial training and plan for ongoing training for the team
- Serves as point person for resolving concerns or complaints escalated by team members
- Maintain knowledge of industry data and regulatory changes, ensuring team members are appropriately educated on and compliant with payer guidelines, state and federal regulations and industry updates
- Meet regularly with leadership from other departments to review performance, align strategies, identify best practices and improve collections
- Able to successfully perform job functions required of those on their team
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the assigned teams' business role
- Previous experience in management of team-related projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Able to maintain accuracy while working on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain compliance with HIPAA
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Reporting Relationship – Manager of Patient Accounts.
