Position Title: Paper Stacker / Saw Operator

Wage: $17.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Paper Stacker / Saw Operator at a company in Beloit, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply today!

• Set up appropriate machinery based on job specifications ensuring safety, quality and appropriately applying lean strategies
• Log into jobs and record production data
• Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances
• Position guides, stops, holding blocks or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices
• Set stops on machine beds, change dies and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes
• Start machines, monitor their operations and record operational data
• Set up, operate or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend or straighten metal or plastic material
• Perform machine changeover and appropriate material setup
• Examine work area at beginning and ending of each shift and during any machine changeover for safety and proper operations
• Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws
• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers
• Prepare material for shipping including proper identification, tagging and wrapping

• Ability to stand greater than 2/3 of the time
• Ability to walk greater than 2/3 of the time
• Ability to sit less than 1/3 of the time
• Ability to use hands greater than 2/3 of the time
• Ability to reach with hands and arms 1/3 - 2/3 of the time
• Ability to climb or balance 1/3 - 2/3 of the time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 1/3 - 2/3 of the time
• Ability to talk and hear greater than 2/3 of the time
• Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds 1/3 - 2/3 of the time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 1/3 - 2/3 of the time
