The Continuous Improvement / Operations Director will have full accountability for plant operations, including production, maintenance, EHS, production control and continuous improvement. The role will help shape the company’s operating model, lead lean transformation, improve capacity utilization, support digital manufacturing initiatives and drive measurable results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and growth.

The Continuous Improvement / Operations Director is responsible for leading and optimizing all plant operations with full accountability for continuous improvement, production, maintenance, EHS and production control. This role drives the development and execution of operational strategies that align with the company’s financial objectives, strategic plan, annual operating plan and long‑term growth targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Operations & Performance Leadership
Establish quantitative and qualitative performance metrics, standards and management systems across SQDCIG: safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and growth; own and drive strategy deployment, annual operating plan execution, and continuous improvement priorities; define and improve the operating model; build scalable systems for operational efficiency.
End-to-End Plant Operations OversightProvide full leadership and accountability for manufacturing, maintenance, EHS, production control and continuous improvement functions; ensure cross-functional alignment and drive achievement of departmental and enterprise-level goals; integrate operations with engineering, supply chain and commercial teams; improve process flow, production reliability, cost effectiveness and operational responsiveness.
Production Control, Scheduling & ThroughputEstablish governance for production control systems, scheduling, SIOP alignment, capacity planning and throughput optimization; align production schedules with demand, labor, equipment capacity, materials and delivery commitments; identify constraints and implement systems to improve flow, reduce delays and increase reliability; drive accountability for production performance, lead time, on-time delivery and resource utilization.
Installed Capacity & Asset OptimizationDevelop a formal installed capacity model including labor, equipment, automation, facility constraints and bottlenecks; use capacity modeling, bottleneck analysis and Theory of Constraints to improve asset utilization; lead capital planning and prioritization tied to ROI; oversee TPM strategy to maximize uptime, extend asset life and reduce total cost of ownership.
EHS & Operational Risk ManagementOwn and evolve the EHS strategy to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and a proactive safety culture; institutionalize 6S and behavior-based safety systems; embed safety accountability at all leadership levels; meet or exceed OSHA, environmental regulations, ASME, ISO/QMS standards and customer requirements.
Digital Manufacturing, MES, Automation & AIDefine and lead the digital manufacturing roadmap, including MES, automation and AI-driven analytics implementation; integrate ERP, MES and shop-floor systems for real-time visibility; drive adoption of AI-enabled decision support tools such as predictive maintenance and…
