Materials Technician

Work Shift:

6am‑6:30pm (A and C Crew), 6pm‑6:30am (B and D Crew). Shift differential: 10% for overnight hours, $2/hr for weekends.

• Warehouse Utility:
  Receive product into the warehouse, check location, quantity and condition of the product; inspect for damage or leaks; review and verify orders; create pallet labels; store product in proper locations using an RF scan gun; rotate product FIFO; update orders with required information (name, shipping lane); mark off items once picked; use correct license plate (LP) when picking; accurately identify and record lot code, product and other ingredient information.
• Kitter/Ingredient Prepper:
  Weigh out ingredients for current and future production needs; read batching sheets and prioritize weigh‑out needs according to customer and internal specifications; identify different ingredients, including allergens and non‑allergens; follow proper procedures utilizing the HIVE, including scanning all pallets, ingredients and kitting rooms; describe ingredient information; use a forklift to retrieve product from the freezer or refrigerator and bring to blending as needed.
• Tanker Bay Utility:
  Connect tanker trucks to unloading/receiving lines; maintain detailed logs of loading/unloading activities, including product type, volume, date and time; report irregularities in milk quality, tanker issues or potential sanitation problems; monitor flow rates and pressure gauges during transfer; accurately identify and record lot code, product and other ingredient information.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping; operate safely in a safe work environment; abide by all internal policies (GMP, attendance, productivity, etc.).

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good math skills a plus.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Proficient in using an RF scanner/scan gun.
• Ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment, e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks. Forklift certification is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors, managers, colleagues and external parties.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal safety instructions, work procedures and workplace communications required to perform the job safely and effectively.
• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Forklift certification (Sit‑Down, Stand‑Up, Pallet Jack).
• Must be able to complete and pass the required Wonderlic test.
