Job Summary

Work Shift: 6am-6:30pm (2-2-3 rotation).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production filler equipment to ensure food safety, product quality, and conformity to customer standards and specifications.
  • Safely and efficiently set up, operate, and clean filler machines/equipment as assigned.
  • Be proficient in Sterilize‑in‑Place (SIP) and Clean‑in‑Place (CIP) of assigned filler machine.
  • Perform basic cleaning, inspection, and lubrication functions, including Preventative Maintenance (PMs).
  • Actively participate in startup, troubleshooting/adjustment, stop/reset, and shutdown of line equipment; clear jams and report malfunctions to Supervisor as needed.
  • Perform changeovers and line clears; accurately set up next item's packaging and coding.
  • Report out‑of‑standard/specification results to the Quality Department and Supervisor promptly.
  • Complete handwritten instructions and online documentation, including Quality and Critical Control Point (CCP) checks, accurately and at the required frequencies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed work logs and inventory records.
  • Monitor and review inventory and production levels to achieve the most efficient operating conditions.
  • Maintain assigned work area and production environment in a clean, orderly condition; complete environmental cleaning requirements as needed.
  • Actively participate in shift exchanges and work‑team meetings.
  • Consistently meet production needs and goals while minimizing product shrink and downtime.
  • Report unsafe conditions or other compliance issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Identify Critical Control Points (CCPs).
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Certification/Licensure: Ability to be Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certified.
  • Skills:
    • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Deliver excellent organizational skills and multitask while meeting deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and external stakeholders.
    • Proficient in English, with ability to read, understand, and comply with safety instructions and SOPs.
    • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages).
    • Basic computer skills; input and retrieve computerized information; complete forms and checklists.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
    • Professional demeanor and constructive working relationships.
    • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
    • Completion of a mandatory Wonderlic test.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
    • Ability to work with dairy, nut products, and other ingredients/allergens.
    • Follow safety protocols; report hazards and support safety policies.
